591 1000 year reign
Welcome to During Bible Study, I'm your host, Steve Kitts. Today, we’re diving into the 1000-year reign, also known as the Millennium, mentioned in Revelation 20.
During this time, Jesus Christ will reign on Earth as King. Satan will be bound and thrown into the abyss, preventing him from deceiving the nations. This period will be marked by peace, justice, and righteousness, as Christ rules with His saints. Believers who were martyred or remained faithful will reign with Him, experiencing a time of great joy and restoration.
Jerusalem will be the center of worship, and nations will come to learn God’s ways. People will live longer, and creation will be in harmony. However, after the 1000 years, Satan will be released for a short time to deceive the nations once more, leading to a final rebellion. God will defeat this uprising, and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever.
The Great White Throne Judgment follows, where the dead are judged according to their deeds. Those not found in the Book of Life will face eternal separation from God. Then, the New Heaven and New Earth will be established, where believers will dwell with God for eternity.
The 1000-year reign reminds us that God’s plan for justice and peace will be fulfilled, and His kingdom will ultimately triumph.
